Aree Witoelar is a Norway-based improv teacher, director and performer from Indonesia. I am the founder and artistic director of Impro Neuf International, Norway’s most inclusive international improv community with over 1,000 members.
I believe in bringing the global voice to the improv stage. I have taught in Norway, the Netherlands, Germany, Estonia, and headlined at international festivals Wurzburg Improtheaterfestival, TILT Tallinn and Oslo Impro Festival. In this new era of online improv, I’m teaching improv to every corner of the world, from the Philippines, India, UK, Canada, and playing duos with friends in over 50 countries.
Every improviser is their own special blend. I help players find improv which brings them joy, and make bold choices.
